Bark River, MI- History has a way of coming full circle. As Bark River International Raceway celebrates it's 50th Anniversary, we're proud to welcome BOSS Snowplow back to the place where they helped write an important chapter of our story.
BOSS Snowplow has been part of Bark River’s story for decades. For eight years beginning in 2002, the company served as a title sponsor for our races. This was an exciting era in the track’s history. Their commitment to off-road racing also extended to former racer Chad Hord of Felch, Michigan, whose successful career and longtime partnership with BOSS Snowplow became well known throughout the sport.
“Our 50th Anniversary has been about reconnecting with people that helped shape Bark River International Raceway over the years, so having BOSS Snowplow return during our 50th Anniversary is especially meaningful,” said Michelle Palmgren, Sponsorship Director and Secretary for BRIR. “They’ve been an important part of our history, and we’re honored to have them support one of our signature events, making it more memorable for our racers and fans.”
As part of the partnership, BOSS Snowplow will sponsor the first-place payout for the Richard Ault Legacy Long Jump – Second Division, helping expand one of the weekend’s most anticipated events. The Richard Ault Legacy Long Jump honors the late Richard Ault, whose dedication, leadership, and passion helped shape Bark River International Raceway for more than two decades. His commitment to racers and the sport continues to inspire the event that now bears his name (see previous press release for more details).
The Richard Ault Legacy Long Jump will feature a total purse of $16,000 across three divisions, made possible through the generous support of the Richard Ault Family, BOSS Snowplow, and Friends of Richard Ault! The purse includes a $6,000 first-place payout sponsored by the Richard Ault Family, a $4,000 first-place payout sponsored by BOSS Snowplow, and an additional $6,000 contributed by Friends of Richard Ault to enhance payouts across all three divisions. It deson't stop there!! JP from VP Racing Fuels is donating fuel toward each division.
Registration details, including division breakdowns will be communicated directly to racers by Champ Off-Road in the coming days.
As Bark River celebrates five decades of off-road racing, the return of longtime partners like BOSS Snowplow is a reminder that the sport is built on more than competition. It is built on relationships, community, and companies that have invested in Bark River through generations of racers and fans.
