THE CLASSES

PRO MOD SXS

Any manufacturer up to 1000cc SXS Production Chassis and Engine, with or without turbos.

PRO LIGHT TRUCK

A custom-built light-duty, two-wheel drive pick up truck.  The vehicle must be a standard manufacturer production model available to the general public in the U.S. and be produced in amounts of a minimum of 5,000.  Manufacturer body styles and engines must be from the same manufacturer.  Horsepower - 8 cylinders, 325 HP.  Suspension - Travel limit of 12" in the front and 14" in the rear. Chassis - Standardized chassis must be constructed in accordance to series specs.  Body - light-duty body styles such as Ford Ranger, Nissan Frontier and Toyota Tacoma.  Weight - Minimum weight with driver is 2,900 lbs, minimum front axle weight is 45% of total truck weight.  Tire size is 32"x12.5" maximum.  Numbering - 1-99

PRO 2

A custom-built full size, two-wheel drive pick up truck.  The vehicle must be a standard manufacturer production model available to the general public in the U.S. and be produced in amounts of a minimum of 5,000.  Manufacturer body styles and engines must be from the same manufacturer.  Horsepower - 8 cylinders, 750 to 950 HP.  Suspension - Travel limit of 18" in the front and 20" in the rear. Chassis - Maximum wheelbase 120"; minimum wheel base 113"; maximum track width is 93".  Body - maximum body with 80".  Weight - Minimum weight with driver is 3,750 lbs, minimum front axle weight is 48% of total truck weight.  Tire size is 35"x12.5" maximum.  Numbering - 1-99

PRO 4

A custom-built full size, four-wheel drive pick up truck.  The vehicle must be a standard manufacturer production model available to the general public in the U.S. and be produced in amounts of a minimum of 5,000.  Manufacturer body styles and engines must be from the same manufacturer.  Horsepower - 8 cylinders, 750 to 950 HP.  Suspension - Travel limit of 18" in the front and 20" in the rear. Chassis - Maximum wheelbase 122"; minimum wheel base 113"; maximum track width is 93".  Body - maximum body with 80".  Weight - Minimum weight with driver is 4,000 lbs, minimum front axle weight is 48% of total truck weight.  Tire size is 35"x12.5" maximum.  Numbering - 1-99

CLASSIX

Passenger cars and sport utility vehicles (SUVs), using only two wheel drive, produced in quantities of at least 5,000 vehicles per year and available for sale in the United States within a few years of their production. Numbering 600-699

1600 LIGHT BUGGY

A limited four-wheeled, single-seat vehicle, using Volkswagen Type 1 stock components, with a 1585cc air-cooled engine. 55 HP, minimum weight is 1550 lbs. Numbering 100-199

1600 BUGGY

A limited four-wheeled, single-seat vehicle, using a Volkswagen Type 1, 1600cc air-cooled engine. 70 HP, minimum weight is 1580 lbs. Numbering 300-399

PRO STOCK SXS

Any manufacturer up to Stock 1000cc. It is the intention that all modifications allowable are outlined and all other parts/components that can affect or enhance the performance of the vehicle must remain stock.

SHORT COURSE KART

Spec mini race trucks, with Briggs & Stratton spec engine, driven by children ranging in age from 7‐15 years.

MOD KART

This class is represented by a four-wheeled race vehicle, powered by a 400cc Honda Quad engine.  Numbering 200-299

170 SXS

Stock Polaris RZR 170 SxS driven by children ages 6-12. Vehicles must be a standard manufacturer production model that is currently available to the general public in the USA. Sportsman  SXS rules and safety features are applied.

FORMULA 4x4

Four-wheel drive sport utility class. “Stock” as used here, for “stock frame“ is defined as a frame sold as a sport utility passenger vehicle and produced in volume of at least 5,000 units by the original manufacturer.  Numbering 400-499

SUPER STOCK TRUCK

A two-wheel drive, standard-size pickup. The truck must be of stock production that has been produced in quantities of at least 5,000 for a one-year period and available for purchase by the general public in the USA.  This is a production class and must maintain the engine, body, and frame combination for a specified production year. Numbering 800-899

SUPER BUGGY

A four-wheeled single-seat vehicle, utilizing many different engine combinations, with unlimited suspension and chassis designs. Engines are limited to maximum displacement of 1650cc to 2400cc, depending on design and manufacturer. Rear wheel drive allowed only. Numbering 1-99

STOCK TRUCK

A two wheel drive pickup truck with a 3/4 ton or smaller chassis, with coil front springs, manufactured in quantities of at least 5,000 units of same model per year and available for sale in the United States. All components must remain stock, but reinforcing is allowed. Numbering 500-599

SPORTSMAN SXS

Stock up to 1000cc SXS. Numbering 1-99

FAQ

How do I book a pit spot?

Sportsman will buy online when camping is released. Pro Truck spots for semis will need to fill out a registration form. Contact barkriveroffroads@gmail.com to get a form.

I am a racer, do I need to purchase an admission band?

You as a racer will receive your admission band with your registration, but your crew will need admission bands. We encourage purchasing them online ahead of time so pick up through will call can help move the line more quickly.

When will camping reservations open?

Sportsman camping will be available midnight of April 15th. Spectator camping will be open midnight of May 1st.

Do you rent the track for practice?

Yes! We rent the track so you can get those turns and jumps dialed in before race day! Call, e-mail or send us a message for some information.
